These two authors have two very different tones, yet both are still able to display their message without putting the reader to sleep. Bichell is definitely the more informal approach compared to the author of the wooden spoon which is more formal/research approach to conveying their messages about these technologies. Bichell talks about her technology and culture by incorporating many countries not just 2 or 3 but a wide variety to show diversity and similarity. Compared to the author about the wooden spoon Bichell does not use as many sensory descriptions/ anecdotal references that really help their audience visualize the technology and full understand it.
The aspects from these forms of writing that I will try to include in my writing are the descriptions and personal anecdotes that help describe my technology. before I can describe the values that I will be pursuing in writing I first need to make sure my audience is visualizing my technology to the best of their abilities.
The trash bag is a common house hold item that is constantly over looked as a technology. The phrase “out of sight out of mind” is a reason why people are still using the trash bag. The trash bag not only hides the trash, but also blocks the smell and stench coming from the trash to allow further ability of ignoring their waste. Collecting and blocking are not the only reasons why we still use trash bags, trash bags make transporting and disposing our waste quicker, easier, and more accessible than ever. This positive trait has had a negative consequence on the environment and a negative social change in society. With the more accessible and easier way to dispose of waste more people are willing to throwing everything including compostable and recyclable items. Creating more waste in landfills and more toxic fumes from incinerators causing more and more harm to the environment. The trash bag is an item that is commonly overlooked and taken for granted, but it is a vital and easy way for someone to dispose of their waste, in return ignoring what they are doing to the environment with the easy access to waste disposal.

You might not see the trash bag as a important technology that improves your life daily, because of the fact that is used daily and is designed for people not to notice it. “Out of sight out of mind” does not always refer to annoying children. Not only does it conceal, it also allows for easy transportation and disposal. These features have become so consistent in our lives that we are able to ignore and forget about where our waste goes. This ability to forget creates a problem to our environment because items that should be recycled or composted are being thrown away because of the ease of the trash bag. The trash bag is an item that is commonly overlooked and taken for granted, but it is a vital and easy way for someone to dispose of their waste, in return ignoring what they are doing to the environment with the easy access to waste disposal.
