Cline, Meagan. “Understanding Eco Trash Bags.” ethicalfoods.com, 29 May 2013, ethicalfoods.com/understanding-eco-trash-bags/. Accessed 8 Nov. 2016.
In this article written by Megan Cline, the content is mostly about environmentally friendly trash bags or as Cline calls them “eco-friendly” trash bags. Cline first states facts about the generically massed produced plastic trash bags, like the time it takes for them to degrade in a landfill. This is mostly trying to persuade her audience into the mindset that normal trash bags are terrible things that need to be replaced. Later in her article Cline gives examples of many types of “eco-friendly” bags on the market proving to her audience that there are many different options out there. Although Cline has a slight bias towards “eco-friendly” trash bags she also has a pro vs con section that in equal length and detail.
This source about environmentally friendly trash bags directly corresponds with one of my scholarly journals that is required for this essay. Both are talking about compostable trash bags and how they are able to degrade. However Cline is approaching her topic be showing her audience that there are multiple types of environmentally friendly trash bags on the market. In contrast my scholarly journal is showing the facts and data on compostable trash bags.
The follow up research questions that I want to know, are what the exact price of the “eco-friendly” trash bags and if it were possible to have a city to start using compostable trash bags as an advantage.
